Child Therapy
Play therapy allows a child to navigate their emotions and experiences through play and age-appropriate discussion. This allows them to develop the capacity to express and regulate their feelings while working through difficulties they may experience.
I offer play therapy using the Under 5’s model and individual play therapy for children over 5 years of age. I also offer parent work - a space for parents to explore their relationship with their child and consider factors that may impact their parenting.
I have a particular interest and training in working with caregivers and their very young babies (parent-infant psychotherapy). The importance of the caregiver-infant relationship, especially in the first 1000 days, cannot be understated, and my wish is to support parents and their children thoughtfully and compassionately through this critical period. This includes helping parents process their own personal difficulties, as well as helping develop their capacity to think about their child’s experiences.
